Chef Claude’s Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Recipe

Shrimp dishOur August Chef of the Month, Chef Claude has shared with us a recipe for some modern comfort food – bacon-wrapped shrimp with a white wine garlic reduction. A “guilty pleasure” dish full of complex flavors, suited best for when you need an extra kick in your meal. Follow Chef Claude’s steps below to craft your own!

 Ingredients: 

6 oz peeled, deveined shrimp

Lime

White Wine

Garlic

Butter

Bacon

Habanero Pepper

Salt/Pepper

Directions: 

  1. Marinate medium shrimp in white wine, garlic, lime, salt and pepper for at least an hour.
  2. Cook strips of bacon on low heat – lightly cook so it is flexible. Let cool after cooking.
  3. Take 3 shrimp and wrap bacon around them – pinch together with a toothpick if necessary.
  4. Pre-heat a pan with olive oil. Cook bacon-wrapped shrimp in bacon in pan.
  5. Add marinade in the pan and let reduce. Plate shrimp and add remaining sauce.
  6. Chop habanero and parsley to garnish.
