Our August Chef of the Month, Chef Claude has shared with us a recipe for some modern comfort food – bacon-wrapped shrimp with a white wine garlic reduction. A “guilty pleasure” dish full of complex flavors, suited best for when you need an extra kick in your meal. Follow Chef Claude’s steps below to craft your own!
Ingredients:
6 oz peeled, deveined shrimp
Lime
White Wine
Garlic
Butter
Bacon
Habanero Pepper
Salt/Pepper
Directions:
- Marinate medium shrimp in white wine, garlic, lime, salt and pepper for at least an hour.
- Cook strips of bacon on low heat – lightly cook so it is flexible. Let cool after cooking.
- Take 3 shrimp and wrap bacon around them – pinch together with a toothpick if necessary.
- Pre-heat a pan with olive oil. Cook bacon-wrapped shrimp in bacon in pan.
- Add marinade in the pan and let reduce. Plate shrimp and add remaining sauce.
- Chop habanero and parsley to garnish.
